Adani Airport AR Photo Booth
In line with its vision to be a globally admired leader in the integrated infrastructure and transportation businesses, the Adani Group forayed into the airports sector in 2019. Incubated within the group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises Ltd. (AEL), Adani Airports won the mandate to modernize and operate seven airports – Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram – through the Airports Authority of India’s globally competitive tendering process.
With passenger’s finally enjoying summer travel after two years of staying at home, Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport wanted to further enhance their travel experience. They decided to host a ‘Supercool Summer Carnival’ festival where passengers could participate in fun activities and take advantage of exciting discounts across retail stores at the airport.
As a part of the festival experience, GoPhygital designed and developed a standalone Augmented Reality (AR) photo booth that provided passengers with an immersive and personal AR experience featuring airport and festival themed volumetric AR content.
Passengers would pose alongside the themed AR items, take a picture, and have the option to download the picture onto their mobile devices via a QR code, or send the picture via email.
In a span of just a month, the AR photo booth had an average of 250 pictures taken on a daily basis.
